Duties and Responsibilities: Speech-Language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults
- speech disorders occur when a person has difficulty producing speech sounds correctly or fluently
- language disorder occur when a person has trouble understanding others, or sharing involve the form of ideas, and feeling
- social communication disorders occur when a person has trouble with the social use of verbal and non verbal communication.
Salary: $44,940-$111,000
Education: Masters degree, doctoral degree

Demand for this profession: Training and clinical experience through clinics affiliated with their graduate programs. students have an opportunity to work with children and adults in areas of communication , speech and language development
